Computeam Tough Mudders raise £1,345 for charity partnership with SSAFA The Armed forces Charity

A challenging but very rewarding experience. Fantastic team-building!
- Julie Rigby

Our dedicated team recently took part in two "Tough Mudder" events to raise money for our charity partnership with SSAFA, The Armed forces Charity - they raised an amazing £1,345 and despite the extreme difficulty of the challenge they even seemed to enjoy the team building!

We were really proud of our whole team, and touched to receive the following letter from SSAFA:

Dear Team Computeam,

Thank you very much for supporting SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity and for raising a fantastic £1,346.00 by taking part in the Tough Mudder eventsThe need for our services is as high today as it has ever been, and the money that you have raised will provide much needed support for our Armed Forces and their families.

With your fundraising, we can carry on training and supporting SSAFA’s network of volunteers, who alongside our staff, supported over 79,000 people last year through our charitable and specialist services.

For Leroy the support SSAFA provided was invaluable.

When Leroy Francis left the RAF at the age of 46, he had no idea his life was about to be turned upside down. He, and his family, should have been entering an exciting new chapter in their lives, but instead, doctors told them Leroy has Multiple Sclerosis, a condition that affects your brain and spinal cord, with no known cure. SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, were called in to help and made sure Leroy has the best quality of life possible.

“SSAFA I wholeheartedly thank you on behalf of myself and my wife, after everything you have done to support us through this very difficult episode of our lives. We are totally indebted to you.”

We are incredibly grateful for the money you have raised for SSAFA and for spreading awareness for our charity in the most dynamic and effective way possible. Thank you for being an advocate for SSAFA, and please extend our gratitude to those who sponsored you.

Thank you, once again, for your exceptional support.

Yours sincerely,

I loved the team ethos of the Tough Mudder challenge - we got each other over each obstacle, and I can't believe that wading through freezing pools of mud could be so much fun!

A test of teamwork and grit instead of outright fitness which was incredibly rewarding.
