We are delighted to announce that Computeam’s pioneering Learning Locker platform has been shortlisted for the New Start-Up Business of the Year at the Education Today School & Supplier Awards 2024.
This recognition underscores the progress we’ve made in delivering this dynamic, self-directed learning solution for schools over the last few years, which culminated in our Cyber Security Training course for schools being officially certified by the CPD Certification Service back in April.
From its first inception, Learning Locker has aimed to provide schools with essential training resources, helping educators develop the core skills they need to stay ahead of the curve and compliant in an increasingly technology-reliant age. And we’re honoured to be among the finalists for this prestigious award!
About the Education Today School & Supplier Awards
The Education Today School & Supplier Awards are a respected event in the education sector, celebrating the outstanding contributions of schools, suppliers, and individuals working to improve education across the UK. The awards recognise those who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure schools run smoothly and effectively, playing a key role in shaping the future of education.
This year’s awards ceremony promises to be an exciting event, held at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London on Friday, 6th December 2024, with festive entertainment and well-known co-hosts Shaun Williamson alongside the voice of the Lottery, Alan Dedicoat.
What is Learning Locker?
Flexible development and upskilling for educators
Learning Locker is an online training platform tailored specifically for staff in educational settings. With a range of compliance courses, including GDPR and Cyber Security, and upskilling courses for Microsoft and Google platforms, Learning Locker provides self-directed training that can be accessed on both mobile and desktop devices.
While course completion can be monitored and tracked by school administrators, the platform also enables the creation and hosting of school-specific learning content, including induction materials, behaviour policies, and performance management resources. These specially-designed courses aim to help educators embrace and effectively utilise digital tools and technologies in the modern classroom.
Looking ahead
Learning Locker is already making significant waves in schools and MATs across the UK, and this award nomination only further emphasises Computeam’s ongoing commitment to supporting educational institutions in meeting their training and development goals with practical, technology-driven solutions.
We look forward to celebrating with our peers at the awards ceremony in December and are excited about the future of Learning Locker and its continued success in the education sector!
Technology and Children’s
Mental Health
In education, the seismic impact of the pandemic, combined with pressurised testing and grade attainment has increased anxiety levels for students, while the influence of social media often only goes to heighten the malaise. Never has it been more important to create a safe environment for children and improve learning outcomes for those with mental and behavioural health conditions.
