About Us

At Computeam, we’re proud of being a smaller business and we build excellent long-term relationships with our clients.

We were founded in 1998 as part of the National Grid for Learning rollout and we have now been helping schools to get the best from their ICT for nearly 20 years. We believe that technology can enhance education outcomes when it's properly planned, installed and supported... So that's what we do!

We think that how and why we do things are as important as what we do. So we stand by these three principles:

PASSION: We care about the service we deliver and the results we acheive for our clients.

PEOPLE: We value our staff and invest to ensure that they are given opportunities to develop.

PURPOSE: We carefully consider the impact of our ICT solutions and avoid technology for technology's sake.

Who was that on the phone?

Our schools will already know their own regular technicians and most of our field team, but if you haven’t met that voice on the end of the office phone, have a look at the biographies below. Even better, get in touch to arrange a face-to-face meeting - we love to gather feedback from our existing school clients, and we like to discuss ideas about education technology with new customers.

Since joining Computeam, Jon has become the main point of contact for many of our clients, and has received consistent praise for his dedication and enthusiasm for getting ICT projects in and working!

“The thing I love most about working at Computeam is building a long-term partnership with a client school and seeing their ICT resources grow and improve over time. I believe that any school can benefit from a well supported IT solution, and some of the new developments in technology over the past few years have really amazed my clients. If you’d like me to come out and discuss your school’s ICT plans for the future, get in touch I’m always keen!”

Simon has a wealth of experience in education technology and has a successful track record with some of the biggest names in the field.

“What’s different at Computeam is our whole school approach. We don’t take technology in isolation and always view it from a school improvement perspective. Technology has to fit with each school’s unique context and so the right technology is the technology that meets your requirements not just the latest device to hit the market".

Jon's extensive knowledge and experience of education ICT brings an understanding of the unique challenges associated with using technology in schools. Like the rest of our team, Jon is passionate about finding the right solution for every client.

"Technology is a tool which can be extremely useful as well as engaging and exciting but it must serve a purpose and its success is measured not by its own features or merits but by the impact it has when used. Having worked, integrating and supporting technology in schools for over 10 years I have developed a passion for finding and implementing these high impact technologies and seeing the results they can bring".

“Every school is different, and will have its own expectations and hopes for an ICT system. We bring new ideas to schools, whilst ensuring that less well-equipped schools have the reliable, solid infrastructure they need to build and gain confidence. Getting this balance between reliable ICT and exciting technology is the key to a great solution, I look forward to discussing this with your schools.

Exposure and experience of ICT absolutely has the power to enhance life chances for pupils. At Computeam we ensure that high quality ICT is available to staff and pupils to achieve this".
